About Jake Rutter
My name is Jake Rutter and I'm a Web Designer and Developer with over 8 years experience in user interface design and front-end development (CSS, XHTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, jQuery, ActionScript 3, RIA). I have excellent drive and am an entrepreneur at heart, I enjoy building a website from all aspects (SEO, SEM, design, development, etc.). Im a strong advocate for Open Source technologies and an active member of the open source community.
Most of my experience involves building and running websites with content management systems and blogging platforms. I have an excellent understanding of to translate a design concept into a working template that is cross-browser compatible and work within development environments around backend code.
My educational background includes an A.A.S. in Web Design and Management and a Bachelors of Science in Visual Communications.
When Im not glued to my computer, I enjoy (in no particular order) reading, Tennis, ping pong, gardening, exercise, dancing, wine, beer, racquetball, movies, learning new things, and traveling.
